Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy recognizes that our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences are expressed through both the mind and the body. By integrating somatic practices with psychotherapy, we can develop greater embodied awareness, inner steadiness, and the capacity to respond with intention rather than reactivity while gently exploring patterns held in the nervous system.
My approach incorporates yoga-informed practices—including breathwork (pranayama), mindful movement (asana), meditation, and principles of yoga philosophy—when they support your therapeutic goals. These practices are thoughtfully integrated into psychotherapy and adapted to your individual needs; no prior yoga experience is required.
I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), with advanced training in integrating yoga-based practices into mental health treatment.
